The part of the Ligurian Riviera called Cinque Terre comprises five neighboring picturesque towns. Riomaggiore is one of them and tourists can admire breathtaking views there. The panorama of the town when seen from the sea is dominated by colorful houses – there is an impression that the houses literally grow from high rocks, on which Riomaggiore is situated. The houses that are prevalent in the town are called case torri. At the bottom of the steep hill there are a rocky bay and harbor, which is always full of boats and pontoons.
