Lisbon is the capital and the largest city of Portugal, located on the Tagus River. The Romanesque Cathedral of the Virgin Mary is one of the most precious monuments of Lisbon, it was erected in 1150 on the site of the former mosque. The 25th of April Bridge is a suspension bridge built in 1966, it connects Lisbon with the town of Almada, which is dominated by the famous monument of Christ the King. The bridge resembles the Golden Gate located in San Francisco with its construction and color. In Lisbon there are several viewpoints from which you can admire the panorama of both riverside cities.
